The Stand, Stephen King (actually one of my favourite books), spinoff book, Captain Trips.

John Holt's How Children Learn

A World on Fire: Britian's Role in the American Civil War, Amanda Foreman.

It made me laugh a bit. 

My latest weaknesses have been in zombie literature, and crappy vampire books.  No, really.
